Record numbers have been announced following the Bloom Festival in the Phoenix Park, on the June bank holiday weekend.

On Saturday 4th June for example, over 20,000 people visited to enjoy the glorius sunshine and the wide range of gardening, food and family activities on offer. Did you make it and what do you think?

We've been receiving lots of emails and comments, so keep them coming...

Admission - €20 - just right or too expensive?

Car Parking - plenty or tight squeeze?

Overall experience - a great day out, good selection on offer, lots of variety?

  • Visited on a Saturday morning, as a family day out. Took over an hour to get in and park. Needed disabled parking and none was allocated, we just happened to be lucky that there was a parking space near the entrance. Personally, the 20euro cost of admission was too much to charge. By midday on the Saturday it was already mobbed. Although there was a good selection of stalls at the Food Market, they were too close together to comfortably reach without stepping on someones feet. While there was a good selection of catering options, queues began early and then there wasn't enough seating, so if attending next year bring a picnic blanket, and a picnic! Oh yes, signage was very poor in. I'm sorry to say that the overall experience was one of disappointment. I would advise families not to go if they're considering this event as a family day out.

  • visited sunday and it was nice to see, personally I thought 20euro was a bit pricey. also it was uncomfortably busy in some of the tents and it would have been better if there were some more deals available. certainly the place for garden people but have mixed feelings about it
