My experience of the spa was simply fantastic, with three treatments that left me feeling relaxed and well and truly pampered. I got a sea salt and oil scrub and wrap which also included a head massage. Afterwards my skin felt really soft and smooth, and I felt very sleepy! This treatment is great before putting on fake tan as your skin gets thoroughly exfoliated and moisturised, leaving it feeling soft and smooth for days afterwards. I also got a facial which was tailored to suit my sensitive skin and included another lovely head massage. My favourite treatment was the balneotherapy bath which was a Jacuzzi-like bath that massaged different parts of your body every two or so minutes.
The spa's thermal suite is a great way to end you spa experience or even just a place to unwind without having a treatment. The hydrotherapy pool has lots of different jets to massage your body and is kept at a constant temperature- warm! This may seem like a waste, but the hotel generates it's own power which last years saved 376 tonnes of carbon emissions so you can enjoy your time at the spa without worrying about your carbon footprint! The thermal suite includes an herbal sauna, laconium (basically a warm room), steam room, hot tub and experience showers which simulate a tropical rain shower. Afterwards you can continue your health kick with a smoothie or snack in the Citrus Bar beside the pool or unwind on one of the heated loungers in the thermal suite.
To complete the day, take some time out in the relaxation rooms on the second floor of the spa where you can listen to music, read a magazine, nibble on some fruit or just snooze for a while. My advice is to book into the hotel for at least two nights because you're going to want to go back for a second visit!
