A recent article in the Irish Independent newspaper announces that the Guinness Storehouse is now Ireland's top visitor attraction.

More than 1 million people have passed through the doors of Ireland's biggest tourist attraction in the past 12 months. Since opening in December 2000, more than 6.5 million people have now visited the Guiness Storehouse.

The attraction was built at a cost of over €38 million and the article suggests that a further €4.5 million was spent on recent refurbishments upgrading the main extrance and exit. The new entrance at the Storehouse was recently opened by the Minister for Sport, Arts and Tourism Mr Martin Cullen.
